Site Clearance in Lancashire & Cumbria

Ribble Ltd have been providing Site Clearances, Flailing & Mulching services across the North West for over 40 years.

Site clearance is the removal of trees, bushes and shrubs for the creation of open spaces. This is often done to create parks and community areas as well as any developmental projects.

Flailing, also known as flail mowing, involves the use of a rotating drum or blades to cut vegetation, making it an efficient method for maintaining grassy areas, hedgerows and overgrown spaces. This technique not only ensures a neat and tidy appearance but also promotes healthy regrowth. This technique is currently being used for Lancashire County Council on rural roadside verges.

Mulching, on the other hand takes sustainability to a whole new level, by finely chopping and spreading organic material like grass clippings or pruned branches over the soil surface, mulching enriches the earth, suppresses weed growth and conserves moisture. In the UK, where environmental consciousness is paramount, mulching has become a preferred practice for its role in fostering soil heath and biodiversity. This also takes place after areas have been cleared felled.
